Summer camp isn’t just childcare—it’s a powerful opportunity for growth. For kids, the best experiences don’t always come from screens or routines but from community, movement, and real-life challenge. Summer camp should stretch the mind, energize the body, and build confidence that lasts.

Why Summer Camp Matters
Studies show that unstructured, outdoor exploration boosts problem-solving, resilience, and social development. Moments during a forest hike or a creative group challenge teach and foster confidence, adaptability, and joy outside of a classroom setting.
Children gain:
A sense of independence
Opportunities for creative risk-taking
Time away from pressure and comparison
Memories that build identity and friendships
What Makes a Good Summer Program?
A balance of structure with spontaneity, allowing kids to safely explore and choose experiences that spark their interest. Trained staff in experiential education and child development creates a safe and inspiring setting.
Camp activity examples:
STEM & Science Experiments
Graffiti & Visual Arts
Ball & Movement Sports
Creative writing, storytelling and language development
Music and rhythm workshops
What to Pack: Summer Camp Checklist
To help your child feel confident and comfortable, here’s some recommendations:
Essentials:
Comfortable sneakers
Sandals
Inexpensive Sunglasses
Hoodie or Sweater
Lightweight rain jacket
Reusable water bottle
Sun hat or cap
Sunscreen
Healthy snacks or lunchbox
Personal notebook or sketchbook
Quick dry towel
Small bag, drawstring backpack or daypack.
➡ Tip: Label everything! Independence starts with responsibility.
What to Avoid Packing
To ensure a safe, inclusive, and focused camp environment, we recommend not bringing the following:
Smartphones or tablets (unless explicitly allowed)
Expensive jewelry or valuables
Toys or items that may distract from group activities
Candy or sugary snacks (stick to healthy options)
Personal sports equipment (camp providers should have all needed equipment)
Aerosol sprays or perfume (some campers may have sensitivities)
Keeping it simple helps kids focus on being present, making new friends, and enjoying the experience!
