  • What happens if my child needs health care during the camp?
If your child falls ill or is injured during the camp, we will of course take comprehensive care of their well-being. If necessary, the camp management will organize a visit to the doctor and accompany your child there personally. At the same time, we will contact you as parents immediately to inform you of the situation and discuss the next steps together. For the protection of all participants, we ask you to pick up your child from the camp as soon as possible in the event of infectious diseases. This precautionary measure serves the health of the entire group. We will of course inform you immediately and discuss the next steps with you. The costs for any necessary visits to the doctor or hospital will be covered by the parents/guardians. Please ensure that your child has a valid health insurance card with them.

  • What methods of payment are available?
Bank transfer Account holder: Shane Ogilvie IBAN: DE27 1001 1001 2620 0209 32 Credit card, with additional fee
  • When can we expect to receive the travel documents?
You will receive all the important travel information from us roughly four weeks before the camp. This includes details on arrival and departure, a packing list, the team's contact details, a link to the consent form and emergency contacts.
  • Can friends and siblings be accommodated in the same room?
Siblings and friends can be accommodated together if they are of the same gender. Unfortunately, it is not possible to accommodate brothers and sisters or friends of different genders together. Separate accommodation is usually the better choice for siblings with a larger age gap, so that each child can enjoy time with their peers.
  • How much pocket money do you recommend for a week?
We recommend 25 euros pocket money for camps with overnight accommodation and 20 euros for day camps.
  • Can my child travel to the camp alone and travel home alone at the end?
In order for your child to travel home alone, we require a written declaration of consent from a parent or guardian.
  • How will my child be integrated if they come to camp on their own?
If your child comes to camp alone, our dedicated counselors will actively support your child in quickly making new contacts and feeling comfortable in the group - whether through activities, conversations at the dinner table or group games.
  • Is there a discount if we drop off our child later or pick them up earlier?
If possible, we recommend that you bring your child at the beginning of the camp so that they can integrate well into the group and pick them up at the end of the camp so that they do not miss any group activities or the end of camp. There is not a discount for either.
  • What happens if my child gets homesick?
Homesickness is a natural reaction and can occur during camps, especially if it is the first time away from home. Our experienced camp team is specially trained to respond lovingly and individually to homesick children. Depending on the situation, we can provide positive distraction through joint activities and personal attention. In intensive cases, we will of course contact you as parents to find the best solution together. To support your child's adjustment and camp experience, we've found that scheduling one daily call, rather than multiple check-ins, helps participants fully engage in camp life. The best times for these calls are between dinner and the evening program (approximately 7 PM) or after breakfast (approximately 8:45 AM).
  • Can children outside the age group specified in the camp description also take part?
Our age limits are set so that all participants can feel comfortable in the small group. In individual cases, we are happy to check whether exceptions are possible. However, participation is unfortunately not possible in the case of larger age deviations. Please contact us so that we can discuss your request together.
  • How much does it cost to go to a Prime Youth camp?
The price depends on the program, location, accommodation and duration.
  • What happens if my child falls ill or is unable to attend the overnight camp for other reasons?
We recommend travel cancellation insurance to be on the safe side.
  • What’s included in the price?
Full room and board for overnight camps The meal plan at day camps varies based on location Typically 4-6 beds per room with en-suite bathroom, see location for more specific information All entry and rental fee for booked program activities German and English speaking camp leaders A full program throughout the day for day camps, plus evening program for overnight camps English speaking supervision through experienced and trained educators
  • When does the camp start and end?
The start and end times of the camps vary depending on the camp. Overnight camps usually start between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm on the day of arrival and finish after breakfast on the departure day between 10 am and 11 am. Day camps usually start at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. On the day of arrival, we cordially invite all parents and guardians to a short introductory meeting. We would like to introduce ourselves, explain the rules of the camp and answer any questions you may have.
  • Dietary needs and allergies - What we can offer:
We are happy to consider different dietary requirements such as: Vegan/vegetarian diet No pork Gluten-free food Lactose-free meals Fructose-free meals Important note: Despite careful preparation, the hostel kitchens cannot guarantee that the meals are completely free from traces of allergens. In the event of severe allergies or intolerances, please contact the hostel directly in advance to discuss the individual options and ensure the best possible care.
  • What is your mobile phone policy?
We understand that participants rely on their phones to stay connected with family, take photos, and set alarms. However, to ensure everyone can fully engage in our activities and get proper rest, we have the following guidelines: During activities: Please keep phones stored away unless specifically needed for the program At bedtime: Phones should be turned off or set to "Do Not Disturb" mode Designated times for calls home, photos, and alarms: You're welcome to use your phone during free periods to contact family, capture memories during photo opportunities, and set needed alarms If these guidelines aren't followed, staff may temporarily hold phones until the next appropriate usage period.
  • When is the payment due?
For overnight camps: total amount 4 weeks before camp starts For day camps: total amount within 14 days of booking
  • What does a typical day look like?
We adapt each program individually to the location of the camp and its surroundings. We select the best excursions and activities that are perfectly suited to each location. Please take a look at the description of each camp.
